Back on the tracks!

Hi everyone!
Sorry for our incredible lack of updates the last few months.
You might ask why ? Well no point in updating if there is nothing to show, right?

Anyway, for the little story, it almost felt like the project was dead once and for all… but
it’s just we were incredibly busy with our own lives. My postgraduate studies takes a lot of my time, which leaves me without much to spare on Castlevania.

But recently we started talking about it, making sure we still wanted to complete something, and so we’re back!
I’ve myself restarted coding. We finally have a nice full-screen mode yeay !!

But it still requires the use of a special shortcut to run it, that’s due to Gosu library…

Because I haven’t coded for ages, it’s all rusty in my head so i’m running more tests than actual coding serving the projects for the moment :3 but we shall see some new stuff during next week.

Big News: Engine V.2 ??!!!

Hey people ! Sorry for the lack of news since August. We’ve been pretty busy since mid-august, Uni restarted for me, Wiz started Uni as well…

Our pace is going to be much slower on the next few month, because of our studies…BUT !

After being disappointed so many times by the RGSS library, in order to create a nice collision engine … I decided to change the platform of development !
I’m still experimenting with it, but have been able to do some simple cool stuff. We’re going to remake the engine with the Gosu and Chipmunk  librairies.
Gosu is an API for 2D games, and it has a cool ruby Binding ! :)
Chipmunk is a 2D Physics Library :) and it works in ruby as well  !!

So expect to see some cool stuff with that!

It’s also an opportunity for me to clean my code and make things better!

Ca m’allège le travail, et avec Wizard qui vient de finir ses exams, le développement accélère pas mal.
